Junior Accountants

Role Purpose
The Junior Accountants – Stock are responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting activities across Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL) and Stock. The roles ensure accurate financial record-keeping, timely reconciliations, effective financial reporting and compliance with internal controls and company procedures within a fast-paced multinational environment.
Key Responsibilities
Process supplier invoices, purchase orders and customer statements accurately and timeously
Assist with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and collections activities
Prepare and post daily and monthly General Ledger journals
Perform routine bank, balance sheet and GL reconciliations
Support stock-related accounting and maintain accurate stock and financial records
Assist with month-end financial close and preparation of P&L and balance sheet schedules
Prepare financial reports, data extracts and schedules using MS Excel and Google Sheets
Assist with internal and external audits by providing accurate supporting documentation
Support supplier validation, credit applications and finance-related queries
Build and maintain professional relationships with suppliers, internal departments and global stakeholders
Ensure finance queries are logged, monitored and resolved within agreed timelines
Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOPs, financial policies and applicable tax requirements
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting and workflow efficiency
Maintain a high level of accuracy, professionalism and business etiquette in all interactions
Qualification and Experience
Degree in Accounting, Financial Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Previous experience in an accounting or finance environment
Exposure to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger or Stock/Inventory Accounting will be advantageous
Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reconciliations
Proficiency in MS Excel and/or Google Sheets, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
Experience working with an ERP system will be advantageous
Basic understanding of financial controls, VAT/tax compliance and accounting procedures
Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
High level of professionalism and business etiquette
