Role Purpose
The purpose of this role is to support the effective execution of supply chain operations by ensuring efficient stock flow, accurate inventory management, and timely order fulfilment. The role contributes to operational excellence by coordinating with key stakeholders, optimising processes, and ensuring products are available and delivered to meet customer and business needs. Through strong attention to detail, collaboration, and adherence to safety and quality standards, the role supports a seamless supply chain journey from receipt of goods to final delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, and verify quantity and quality of goods upon arrival
Maintain accurate records and resolve discrepancies with suppliers and carriers
Manage carrier schedules and align operations with delivery timelines
Collaborate with sales teams to forecast inventory flow and improve service
Prepare goods in correct quantity and quality for customers
Act as a key contact point for customers, providing updates and managing priorities
Improve order preparation and storage processes for efficiency
Support customer loyalty through product knowledge and tailored solutions
Keep storage areas clean, organised, and efficient
Conduct regular stock counts to ensure inventory accuracy
Work with sales and installation teams to optimise stock rotation and availability
Identify opportunities to improve storage capacity and inventory management
Perform routine IT tasks such as order releases and cancellations
Follow safety protocols including PPE use and equipment handling
Maintain workplace cleanliness and report safety risks
Participate in safety training and contribute to improvements
Maintain accurate inventory and timely order fulfilment
Deliver high customer satisfaction through reliable service
Qualifications and Experience
Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification
Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field (advantageous)
Previous experience in logistics, warehousing, inventory management or order processing
Strong attention to detail with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Customer-focused mindset with strong teamwork and communication skills
