HR Officer
Role Purpose
The HR Officer is an operational role responsible for delivering effective, compliant, and consistent HR services across the employee lifecycle. The role supports the HRBP, partners with line management on people-related matters, and ensures the application of labour legislation, company policies, and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, inductions, employee changes, and probation management.
Maintain accurate HR records, employee documentation, and HRIS data while ensuring POPIA compliance.
Provide first-line HR support and guidance to managers and employees on HR policies and procedures.
Support employee relations by coordinating disciplinary processes, hearings, exit interviews, and maintaining confidential ER records.
Prepare and process payroll inputs, manage leave administration, and resolve payroll-related queries.
Ensure compliance with labour legislation (BCEA, LRA, EEA) and internal HR policies.
Assist with HR audits, regulatory compliance, reporting, and special HR projects.
Coordinate uniforms, PPE, and work asset administration, including monthly audits and IT equipment requirements.
Support workplace health and safety administration, including IOD record management and compliance documentation.
Prepare meeting minutes and provide general HR administrative support as required.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience in HR administration or a similar role is advantageous.
Diploma in HR or equivalent qualification is essential.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Familiarity with HR systems and payroll processes is a plus.
