Role Purpose
A new beginning is here and we are excited to welcome passionate individuals to join our team as we prepare for the opening of our new store in Cornubia (KwaZulu-Natal). As a Customer Assistant, you will be at the heart of our customer experience helping customers, creating a welcoming environment and ensuring every interaction leaves a positive impression. You will play an important role in bringing our store to life and helping us build a strong team from the very first day.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a host/hostess to welcome customers, provide information on products and services through various channels, resolve queries, and build strong customer relationships.
Accurately manage the cash desk, including processing orders, exchanges, refunds, and providing cash back on returned goods while recording all transactions.
Onboard customers to the loyalty program, recommend additional products, and ensure processes minimize waiting times and enhance service quality.
Ensure full compliance with internal control procedures and till policies while maintaining accurate records for all transactions.
Liaise with relevant departments regarding returned goods and escalate any identified risks or issues to management in a timely manner.
Qualifications and Experience
Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification
Experience in a sales environment (retail) , with the ability to identify and act on upselling opportunities
Practical experience managing cash desk transactions (cash, refunds, exchanges) with full accuracy
Strong communication skills, conveying information clearly and with empathy
Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
